Oliver Crowley is an investment funds lawyer with a particular focus on representing institutional investors, fund-of-funds and family offices to deliver their private market investment strategies. Oliver advises on fund-raisings and the subsequent deployment of that capital across all structures, geographies and asset classes. Oliver advises on all investment and lifecycle aspects in the private markets space: primaries, secondaries, GP stakes and lifecycle issues.

Oliver works closely with his clients and seeks to maximise the deployment of legal technology, including the collection and use of data to drive efficiencies and to add value to client negotiations and product development.

Oliver is recognised as a Next Generation Partner in Legal 500 for Private Funds and has been listed in Who’s Who Legal Investment Funds since 2017.

  • Advising a large global financial institution on all aspects of its private markets investments programme: fund raising, UHNWI platform development, and a very significant number of primary, secondary and SMA investments.
  • Advising a global asset manager on the fund raising of its flagship fund-of-funds products and the subsequent deployment of that capital across a range of asset classes.
  • Advising a government agency’s pension scheme on delivering a key part of its private markets investment strategy to tilt its portfolio towards sustainability focussed investments.
  • Advising a large UK pension scheme on a range of investments including in venture, PE, healthcare and music royalties funds.
  • Advising a New Zealand asset manager on the establishment of a $2bn renewable energy infrastructure platform.
  • Advising a UK pension fund on its participation in a fund management joint venture focussed on seed investments and GP stakes.
  • Advising a FTSE 250 company on the establishment a venture fund.
