Charlotte Cuypers

Lawyer
About

Charlotte specializes in insurance law and dispute resolution. She advises insurers and companies and assists them in disputes and litigation, negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution.

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Charlotte gained experience in health law as a lawyer in a law firm based in Leuven, where she assisted healthcare providers/institutions and public authorities in matters involving medical liability, damage assessment, disciplinary proceedings, and reimbursement (nomenclature) issues. This background provides her with a strong foundation to navigate disputes at the intersection of healthcare and insurance with both legal and sector-specific insight.

Charlotte holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Antwerp. During her studies, she was granted the statute of aspiring researcher within the research group ‘Person and Property’. Her work was awarded the prize of the Journal of Health Law 2022-2023.

Since October 2024, she has been active as a teaching assistant at the Institute for the Law of Obligations at KU Leuven.
