Chris Darby

Associate
About

Chris Darby’s primary practice is representing investment funds clients, predominantly alternative asset managers and sponsors. The bulk of Chris’ experience has been representing private real estate investment trust (REIT) sponsors and SEC-reporting, non-traded REITs. More broadly, he works with asset managers with holdings around the globe.

Thanks to his prior experience in commercial general contracting, Chris also maintains a robust practice advising domestic, foreign and multinational clients on issues related to their development, construction and joint venture projects. Additionally, this experience has led Chris to represent clients regarding their procurement needs.

Drawing on his long history of community service, Chris’ pro bono practice includes representative matters such as counselling a client in connection with their corporate governance overhaul and obtaining 501(c)(3) status for a not-for-profit organization.
