About

Valentina Eigner advises national and international clients in the energy industry with a focus on renewable energy.

Her experience includes the drafting and negotiation of supply contracts for renewable electricity (in particular power purchase agreements), biogas and hydrogen, as well as certificates trade contracts for guarantees of origin and other renewable energy certificates (such as I-RECs). Additionally, Valentina advises on carbon credits and carbon offsets related matters.

Valentina also advises on regulatory aspects of Austrian and European energy regulatory law as well as environmental, infrastructure and trade law, drawing on her academic background in the field of the regulation of international gas pipelines.

Valentina is a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Wels, teaching Energy Law and Energy Markets.

  • Advising and representing an Austrian wind farm operator in proceedings against the grid operator concerning costs resulting from congestion management measures*.
  • Advising an international energy group on regulatory law questions in connection with the construction of a large PV plant*.
