About

Carmen is Legal Director in the Finance team at DLA Piper Spain and leads the firm’s pro bono initiatives in the Spanish office. She has extensive experience advising national and international banks, financial institutions, and institutional investors on all types of structured and complex financings, as well as on debt refinancing and restructuring processes.

She regularly participates in multi-jurisdictional transactions, leading teams and coordinating with lead legal counsel—whether internal or external—to ensure seamless execution of operations.

Carmen is a lecturer in the Master’s in International Law and the Master’s in International Law, Foreign Trade and International Relations at ISDE, and previously taught in the Master’s in International Commercial Law at Universidad Nebrija. She has also contributed to specialized publications on financing matters.

She has contributed also to publications relating financing issues.
