Emily Harris is a real estate lawyer and has varied experience across commercial and residential property transactions.
Emily regularly advises domestic and international clients on a range of property related matters including acquisitions and disposals, commercial leasing, developments, and property due diligence for M&A deals. She also provides general real estate support for the firm’s corporate clients.
Emily has experience negotiating lease agreements with external landlords, drafting complex design build lease agreements and conducting due diligence on high value property acquisitions. Her experience also extends across different sectors and industries such as local government, consumer goods and infrastructure.
- Regularly advises Foodstuffs North Island Limited, New Zealand’s largest grocery distributor, on its lease arrangements, site acquisitions, and developments.
- Advised Datagrid on its Southland property acquisition for the establishment of one of the New Zealand’s first hyperscale data centre projects and the associated Hawaiki Cable’s undersea cable network connection with the USA, Australia and Asia.
- Advised Auckland Council on the property aspects of the sale of its Amenities and Infrastructure Maintenance Services (AIMS) Business Unit.
- Regularly advises IAG on its lease portfolio including the expansion of its successful and innovative ‘Repairhub’ project.
