Shehzad Huda is a corporate partner and member of DLA Piper's National Leadership Group for the US Emerging Growth and Venture Capital Practice. He advises companies of all sizes – from founder-stage startups to global strategic acquirers – across the full lifecycle of growth: formation, fundraising, strategic partnerships, international expansion, licensing, and exit.
Shehzad's practice sits at the intersection of technology and the industries it’s transforming, including AI, robotics, energy, technology, aerospace and defense, agriculture technology, food technology, healthcare, life sciences, health tech, and consumer packaged goods (CPG). Much of his practice is cross-border, and he regularly advises clients on international financings, strategic partnerships, and M&A involving parties and structures across the North America, Europe, Asia and LATAM.
He represents corporate strategic acquirers in domestic and cross-border M&A, and advises venture capital and corporate venture capital (CVC) investors – based both in the US and internationally – on their transactions across global markets. He also works with large, established organizations on various strategic matters designed to reduce legal and operational risk and streamline cost and overhead.
Shehzad draws on DLA Piper's global platform – including CFIUS, international tax, regulatory, employment, IP, and government contracts specialists – to give clients a single point of contact for complex, multi-jurisdictional deals.
