Lauren Kelly is a member of the Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations Group. Her practice focuses on regulatory compliance, investigations, and competition law, with a particular interest in the food and beverage industry. Raised on a fourth-generation potato farm, Lauren brings a personal interest in the sector to her legal practice.
Lauren advises clients on a range of regulatory matters, including consumer product recalls, packaging and labelling, permitting, environmental regulation, and matters involving tariff rate quotas. She has also assisted in responding to Canadian Food Inspection Agency inspection reports and other regulatory inquiries.
Lauren assists counsel with Competition Bureau inquiries and investigations and advises clients on misleading advertising and marketing laws. Lauren also has experience assisting senior counsel on national security reviews under the Investment Canada Act.
Lauren received her J.D. from the University of Alberta, where she served as Treasurer of the Sports Law Association. Before law school, she completed a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of British Columbia. Lauren summered and articled with the firm before joining as an associate in 2025.
