Paul Landless is a financial markets lawyer specialising in structured finance, derivatives and financial markets products, including securitisations, repackagings, structured notes, securities lending and repo. Paul is part of the derivatives and structured products team in London as a partner at DLA Piper within the firm’s Finance practice after almost 22 years at a leading international law firm.

He has extensive experience in various types of structured transactions, including in relation to commodities trading, commodity financing and various forms of structured trade finance. He regularly advises on global and local financial regulatory developments and financial market infrastructure.

He was co-head the Tech Group in 2017 with particular interest in digital assets, crypto markets, crypto derivatives, algorithmic trading, artificial intelligence, smart contracts and DLT use cases in financial markets trading, capital markets, risk management, treasury, digital trade and payments.

Paul has worked in London, Hong Kong and Singapore, led a Singapore and South-East Asia financial markets practice with Tier 1 rankings and sat on a global UK/EU Markets and Brexit Group at a leading international law firm.
