Dr. Lisa Lippert is a registered patent agent for the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and is a member of DLA Piper’s Patent Prosecution practice in Seattle and San Diego. Her practice focuses on patent prosecution in the life sciences, including protein and peptide therapeutics, nucleic acid therapeutics, small molecule therapeutics, gene editing technologies, diagnostics, microbiome therapies, high throughput genomic analysis technologies and next generation sequencing technologies. Lisa works with seasoned DLA Piper attorneys and leverages her technical experience to best assist clients with all their intellectual property needs.
During her doctoral studies, Lisa used super-resolution single molecule microscopy to establish a mechanism for the intracellular transport motor, dynein. She designed laser-based optical systems for single molecule imaging and engineered proteins for use in fluorescent and spectroscopic techniques. After receiving her doctorate, Lisa completed postdoctoral research at the University of Minnesota, studying small molecule kinase inhibitors and cancer therapeutics.
