Senior AssociateJason Lo is a trusted legal advisor to multinational and regional employers on a diverse array of complex, and often cross-border, employment law matters, spanning both contentious and non-contentious issues.
His clients may be listed companies and come from a broad range of sectors including in consumers goods and retail, energy and natural resources, financial services, healthcare, insurance and technology.
His experience encompasses supporting clients on various high-stakes and sensitive employment matters, including workplace investigations, disciplinary processes and c-suite executive exits. He is known for his thorough, detail-oriented approach and his ability to guide clients through competing reputational, regulatory and litigation risks in a coordinated, commercially pragmatic manner.
On the contentious side, his experience includes rigorously defending employers on matters involving employment status, wrongful dismissal, discrimination, workplace injuries, employee entitlements, and contractual disputes. He also regularly assists employers with the enforcement of restrictive covenants.
Jason’s non-contentious practice spans the full employment lifecycle. He advises on employment contract and policy drafting, redundancy and restructuring exercises, employment transfers, benefit plans, work visa applications and general employment advice on the most contemporary issues impacting the workforce. He has also supported multinational clients on cross-border workforce issues, including secondments, split employment arrangements, and global mobility projects, often coordinating with overseas counsel to deliver compliant solutions.
He is also consistently involved in employment law aspects of M&A transactions and coordinating various employment due diligence exercises across multiple jurisdictions.
