Gemma Lodge is a Senior Associate in the Real Estate Group and specialises in providing a broad spectrum of commercial and investment property advice on sales and acquisitions, commercial lettings, corporate transactions and landlord and tenant management issues. Gemma has been a qualified lawyer since October 2007. She original qualified as a legal executive, but chose to re-qualify as a solicitor in October 2011.

Gemma has advised a variety of clients including institutional landlords, banks and corporate occupiers.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advising clients of CBRE Global Investors and Orchard Street Investment Management on disposals and acquisitions
  • Advising British Land on the disposal of a retail park (as part of a portfolio corporate disposal)
  • Assisting on the acquisition and disposal (£136m) of 40 Gracechurch Street, London on behalf of a client of Barings. Following the purchase Gemma acted on a successful letting programme of the office accommodation to a number of tenants
  • Advising a major UK bank on the real estate aspects of a key outsourcing transaction
  • Advising a high-profile developer client on its £35m acquisition of a strategic development site in North London
  • Acting for a prominent real estate private equity firm in connection with a number of property sales, totalling in excess of £85m
  • Advising foreign investors on the disposal of a c£130m trophy asset located in the East of England
  • Acting for a client of Barings on successful letting programme of office accommodation in a key Central London location following refurbishment
