Julie Lum is a patent agent for DLA's Intellectual Property and Technology practice. Her practice focuses on domestic and foreign patent prosecution with an emphasis on mobile and computer systems specifically involving medical devices, user interface software and technologies.
After winning a hackathon in 2018, Julie co-founded an artificial intelligence-based language learning startup. Julie also served as the co-director of Pioneers in Engineering in 2018-19, an educational non-profit that serves underrepresented high school students in the San Francisco Bay Area by hosting a robotics competition. Julie received her BS in molecular biology and BS economic policy from the University of California Berkeley.
