EXPERIENCE

  • Acting for an employer in relation to a major electricity interconnector project between England and France, including drafting contract documentation for all contract lots based on the FIDIC suite with significant bespoke amendments.
  • Advising the world’s largest online retailer in relation to a number of major distribution and sortation centres in its UK network. Tom has also advised on and negotiated the construction documentation for fit-out of the distribution centres to the client’s specification, and for ancillary works.
  • Advising a key UK property investment company in relation to the acquisition and management of its property portfolio, including numerous retail and office developments throughout the UK.
  • Acting for a leading international media and entertainment company on the construction aspects relating to its 10-year lease of a major studio complex in the UK.
  • Advising a funder JV entity on the acquisition, funding and development of a portfolio of student accommodation properties, including the preparation of lender construction reports on the suite of construction documents for each asset, advising on the construction aspects of the finance documents, as well as assisting with the preparation of development finance agreements and ancillary construction documents.
  • Acting for a European EPC contractor in relation to its contract bid for the construction of an offshore substation for a major wind farm project in the US, including negotiation of the FIDIC contract.
