About

Alejandro Márquez belongs to the real estate and planning department of the firm. He has extensive experience in sale and purchase transactions through asset deal and share deal structures. He also advises on complex investment transactions, including joint ventures, financing transactions and other transactions such as leases, sale and lease backs, property and asset management agreements, construction and development agreements.

Alejandro has advised in transactions across all practice areas, including residential (built-to-rent), offices (sale and lease backs), industrial, logistics and data centres (asset disposals), accommodation (hotels, touristic apartments and student and senior living residences) and retail. In particular, Alejandro permanently participates in industrial, logistics and data centre transactions with investment funds, institutional investors and international clients.

Prior to DLA, he worked for a multidisciplinar legal firm where he started his carreer. Alejandro has advised national and international clients in real estate and planning matters.

  • Advising GLP on the sale of the shares of Gazeley Iberia Holdings, S.L. to the EQT Exeter SPV in relation to a logistics portfolio of three leased logistics properties.
  • Advising Redevco on the creation and implementation of a joint venture to invest in an Iberian portfolio of hotels.
  • Advising Hines in the acquisition and development of the built to rent residential project (Skypark) in Valdebebas, Madrid.
  • Advising Aquila Capital in the acquisition of a plot of land in Tordera to be developed from a planning perspective, including the development of the logistics project.
  • Advising Starwood on a forward purchase transaction in Toledo.
  • Adivising Olayan Group in the acquisition of Hotel Mandarin Oriental in Barcelona, Spain.
  • Advising Conren Tramway on the sale and lease back transaction with Telefonica in relation to an office building.
  • Advising Oxford Properties in the acquisition of logistics assets in several municipalities in Spain.
  • Advising Banco Santander and Caixabank in the real estate financing of several portfolios throughout Spain.
  • Advising ING in the acquisition and lease of its main headquarters in Spain.
  • Advising Brookfield in the acquisition of three leased logistics properties in Spain.
  • Advising Cyrus One on the Colocation and Data Center Agreement with an international operator for the construction and operation of a Data Center in Alcobendas.
  • Advising Realty Income on the sale and lease back of a portfolio of Decathlon facilities.
  • Advising Korean investment funds their real estate investments in Spain.
  • Advising Mountpark Properties in relation to several urban planning consultations.
