Bernard advises international and domestic employers across the entire suite of employment law issues, including advisory, contentious, industrial relations and corporate matters.

Bernard acts for clients across various sectors with a particular focus on financial services and technology. He has particular interest in advising on the employment aspects of corporate transactions and subsequent change programmes/harmonisation/restructuring.

Bernard works closely with client's HR and legal teams on all matters related to employment and provides prompt, pragmatic and commercial advice.

Bernard has defended employers in complex employment litigation before the WRC, Labour Court and High Court.

  • Advised a life sciences client on a very large collective redundancies and site shut-down;*

  • Advised a large international insurer on the transfer of it’s European operations into its Irish entity and associated TUPE and employment law advice;*
  • Advised an international tech client in respect to a large multi-jurisdictional reorganisation.*
