Conor McDermott advises US and foreign-based companies on a broad range of international and corporate tax matters, including energy tax credit transactions. He works with clients on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, repatriation planning, buy-side and sell-side tax diligence, tax modeling, investment fund structuring, and permanent establishment risk. He has experience advising clients across various sectors, including pharmaceutical, life sciences, financial services, technology, energy, and industrials.

Prior Experience
Before joining DLA Piper, Conor worked at EY in the New York office, where he supported pharmaceutical, science, and private equity companies in connection with acquisitions, spinoffs, cross-border restructurings, and repatriation planning. He also worked at a publicly traded financial services company, where he supported opportunity fund, real estate, and solar investments through structuring, modeling, and due diligence, and advised on federal, state, and local tax matters.
