Hwee Yong Neo is a member of our Intellectual Property and Technology practice group where he focuses on technology, communications, outsourcing, data privacy and payment services related matters.

He advises and assists domestic and international businesses and conglomerates in the technology sector on various legal, commercial and regulatory matters concerning a wide range of services, systems and technologies.

He also assists clients in drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements, including cross-border technology licence agreements, outsourcing agreements and data sharing agreements.

  • Acting for a PRC private equity company in a cross-border semiconductor licensing and reselling transaction where related parties include companies publicly listed on different stock exchanges.*
  • Acting for one of the largest global investment banks in preparing a licensing agreement for the subscription of datafeed services for stock market data.*
  • Acting for one of the largest global fintech companies in a cross-border licensing of a financial investment software.*
  • Advising one of the largest card scheme operators on the regulatory requirements for certain payment services, including data protection matters.*
  • Acting for a leading healthcare company in the integration of authentication platform based on blockchain technology for outward and cross border licensing.*
