Donny Rosati has a practice focused on both domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, ‎corporate finance, private equity and venture capital matters.‎

Donny advises a host of clients including private and public companies operating across a diverse array ‎of industries, in addition to private equity firms, financial institutions, investment dealers, and venture ‎capital funds.‎

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Donny worked as an associate at a leading Toronto-based full-service firm, ‎where he practised both corporate/commercial and real estate law. Prior to that, he also spent time in the ‎United Kingdom working with the Sahara Force India Formula One Team (now Aston Martin F1 Team), as a ‎member of the team’s in-house legal department.‎

Donny prides himself on being a practical and business-oriented problem solver who provides advice in a ‎timely, clear and comprehensive manner.‎

  • Advised Rezolve Ai (NASDAQ: RZLV), a global leader in AI-driven commerce solutions in its acquisition of GroupBy Inc., a leader in enterprise-grade site search, product discovery, and merchandising solutions.
  • Advised Columbus McKinnon Corporation (NASDAQ: CMCO) in the negotiation and finalization of a definitive agreement under which it will acquire Kito Crosby Limited, a global leader in lifting solutions with multiple manufacturing assembly plants and nearly 4,000 employees in over 50 countries, in an all-cash transaction valued at $2.7 billion.
  • Acted for Carlisle Companies Incorporated (NYSE:CSL) in ‎connection with its acquisition of Plasti-Fab Ltd. from PFB ‎Corporation for approximately $260 million.‎
  • Acted for Rolls-Royce in an agreement to sell its naval propulsors and handling business to Fairbanks Morse Defense, a portfolio ‎company of Arcline Investment Management.‎
  • Represented Legrand, a global specialist in electrical and digital ‎building infrastructure, in its acquisition of Power Bus Way. 
  • Represented Granify Inc. in connection with its acquisition by ‎Bazaarvoice, Inc.‎
  • Acted for Updata Partners in connection with its investment in ‎ContactMonkey’s $55 million Series A financing round.‎
  • Acted for Tier1CRM Inc. in the sale of Tier1’s ‎Customer Relationship ‎Management ‎business and related assets to SS&C Technologies ‎Holdings, Inc.‎
  • Acted for Hayfin Capital Management LLP in its financing of ‎Moleculight.
  • Acted for Bond Brand Loyalty in its strategic investment from ‎Mountaingate Capital.‎
  • Represented Quantify Labs Inc./Street Context in its acquisition by ‎Blue Matrix, a portfolio company of Thoma Bravo.‎
  • Acted as legal counsel to a strategic review committee of ‎independent trustees of Northwest Healthcare Properties Real ‎Estate Investment Trust (TSX: NWH.UN).‎
  • Acted for Red Iron Group in connection with its acquisition of ‎EverLine Coatings and Services, a leading franchisor offering ‎various parking lot services, including striping and pavement ‎maintenance, sealcoating, crack sealing and repair.‎
