Joe Salmaggi

Joe Salmaggi is a litigation associate in DLA Piper's New York office. In his practice, he helps clients resolve complex commercial disputes, particularly for companies in technology, energy (legacy and renewables), digital infrastructure, and construction. He is attuned to finding solutions that support clients' business goals and growth by strategically leveraging a variety of dispute resolution mechanisms, including arbitration.

His experiences include roles on insurer‑side counsel teams, arbitrations in the construction and energy sectors, real estate foreclosure litigations representing both borrowers and lenders, and litigation risk assessments in connection with M&A transactions, as well as consumer products and pharmaceutical class actions.

He maintains an active pro bono practice researching policy issues related to incarceration in addition to assisting veterans and juvenile immigrants.
