Michael Saulnier is a trial lawyer and registered patent attorney who focuses his practice in the area of intellectual property litigation. He has experience with multiple technologies, including wireless communications and protocols, smartphones, cloud technology, networking devices, machine learning, memory storage and devices, semiconductors, power engineering, and renewable technologies. His patent litigation practice includes cases before district courts, Section 337 investigations before the US International Trade Commission, and inter partes review proceedings before the US Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Michael was a law clerk for the Honorable Alan D Albright in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas and helped manage one of the country's largest patent dockets. Michael also served as a student clerk to the Honorable John F. Kness in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
