Igor Šebo is a member of corporate team in DLA Piper in Prague. He focuses on structured finance, including acquisition, real estate and project finance. Igor also has experience in capital markets regulation and insolvency law.

Igor has experience in advising both lenders and borrowers in local and cross-border financing transactions, as well as in negotiating and drafting financing and other transactional documents. He also has coordinated several multi-jurisdictional financing transactions.

In his practice, Igor has assisted both local and international clients, financial institutions and corporate groups. He primarily focuses on clients from the real estate and the manufacturing sectors.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advising a foreign investor in connection with approx. EUR500m facility provided by a syndicate of Asian banks for the purpose of development of a manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic. The transaction included drafting and negotiation of the financing documentation and related general Czech-law advice.
  • Advising a syndicate of Czech and foreign banks on approx. EUR480m financing of the first-ever highway PPP project in the Czech Republic. The transaction involved mainly drafting, negotiation and review of the financing and transaction documentation.
  • Advising a German bank on the provision of refurbishment and long-term financing to a Czech developer for the revitalisation of a historic building in Prague’s city centre. The transaction included due diligence and drafting and negotiation of the financing and transaction documentation as well as general Czech-law advice. 
  • Assisting a foreign financial services company with its dispute with a major Czech transport company in insolvency in the course of the Czech insolvency proceeding. The advice included complicated negotiation with the debtor and communication with the insolvency trustee as well as deep analysis of the Czech and private international law.
