Roxana Sfetcu has been involved in numerous competition-related procedures, ranging from basic due diligence advice to complex internal audits re. intricate commercial practices, assistance in dawn-raids and forensic inspections, while also being involved in day-to-day competition advice to several of our clients.

Roxana has been very active in the Life Sciences sector, having advised various clients in a diverse range of matters, such as privacy, market research agreements, HCP interaction, mapping the data processing, gap analysis and assistance for gap remediation.

Over the years, Roxana has garnered expertise in the Financial Services field, where she acted for different financial institutions on a wide range of matters, including agreements, banking and payment services, credit restructuring facilities and security packages.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advising one of the world’s leading biotechnology companies on a regular basis on privacy matters. We provided data privacy assistance in relation to operations in Romania, including with respect to HCP interactions.
    • Providing legal assistance to Vodafone on highly sophisticated data protection matters. We have assisted Vodafone in connection with its roles and responsibilities from a GDPR perspective in relation with its vendors and business customers, including in view of its recent merger with UPC.
  • Assisting a global healthcare company in the comprehensive project of mapping the data processing done by the Romanian entity. In addition, we assisted the client in the strategy for electronic marketing and organization of online marketing or educational events and we also provided data privacy assistance in relation to mapping of processing performed in by the Romania entity, gap analysis and assistance for gap remediation.
  • Providing a complicated assessment from a data protection point of view for a Swiss-based pharmaceutical company. We have prepared standard documents (privacy notices, consent forms etc) and strategy with respect to data subject interaction – including in relation to online events, but also provided data privacy assistance in relation to operations in Romania, including with respect to HCP interactions.
  • Advising an international healthcare company on all privacy related matters, as we are the local privacy contact for the local team. We provided data privacy assistance in relation to operations in Romania, including with respect to HCP interactions.
  • Advising a Danish multinational pharmaceutical company on a regular basis on privacy matters. During the pandemic we advised consistently with respect to online marketing and online events. We provided data privacy assistance in relation to operations in Romania, including with respect to HCP interactions.
  • Advised a UK based payment institution providing payment services and related foreign exchange services through its Romanian branch in relation to certain regulatory requirements as well as in relation to its standard terms and conditions applicable when dealing with corporate and consumer clients.
  • Assisted an international financial institution with the preparation of the assignment documentation in relation to a loan agreement concluded in 2017 between the client, as lender, and a Moldavian company and secured by way of certain security provided by the Romanian subsidiary of the borrower, to secure the obligations undertaken by its parent under the initial loan documentation.
  • Advised the local entity of a fashion industry international player with respect to negotiating the loan documentation concluded with an international bank.
