About

Eric Sherbine is an experienced compliance lawyer with a background in law firm risk management, legal ethics, professional ‎responsibility and conflicts of interest‎. His role involves identifying and resolving potential conflicts of interest and related compliance issues domestically and internationally, including giving legal advice on whether new retainers can be accepted in the context of existing clients, regulatory rules, and firm policies. In addition, he has extensive experience in, and has been a guest speaker on, legal research.

Prior to moving to Canada, he practiced as a labour and employment lawyer with DLA Piper in the United States.

Before entering law, Eric worked for over ten years in the software industry in a number of different roles, including project manager, business analyst, engineer and trainer, in a variety of different industries, including telecommunications, insurance, banking, manufacturing, and aviation.
