Joe Stefano advises on domestic and international debt finance transactions. He brings more than 25 years of experience in structuring and restructuring the full array of secured and unsecured corporate financings, acting for lenders, borrowers, agents and trustees.
Joe's focus includes syndicated, club and single-lender facilities, for both investment-grade and below-investment-grade borrowers across a wide spectrum of industries.
He has extensive experience with big-ticket asset, and project, energy and infrastructure finance transactions, particularly on transactions that involve export credit, multi-lateral or other government agencies. Joe also has significant experience working on structured, leveraged, leasing, trade and commodity, asset-based and receivable financings, and hybrid debt and equity transactions.
Joe has negotiated, documented and closed a variety of bespoke or "first-of-its-kind" deal structures. He has also negotiated, documented and closed many cross-border transactions involving client and deal constituents from more than 70 jurisdictions around the world.
Among Joe's clients are banks, financial service companies, insurance companies, funds, multi-lateral and government agencies, airlines, leasing companies and other corporate clients. Joe is known for his invaluable 360-degree perspective of the transactional issues clients face and for serving as the ultimate problem solver on their behalf.
