
Henderik Tan
AssociateHenderik advises both financial institutions and borrowers on a wide range of domestic and international financings.
Henderik has extensive experience in advising on a range of international banking and finance matters including asset-based lending, receivables finance, structured trade and commodities finance and other areas of general banking and finance. In addition, Henderik also has significant experience in relation to the development and financing of power generation projects as well as ECA (including with SACE, Sinosure, Euler-Hermes and KEXIM).
Henderik has also spent time on secondment with the global trade finance and receivables team of a major global bank where he worked closely with the business teams on their global trade finance and receivables businesses.
EXPERIENCE
- Advised a governmental body in connection with its participation in The Innovative Finance Facility for Climate in Asia and the Pacific to support the Asian Development Bank on its climate related financing.
- Advised a German bank in connection with a USD37m financing to a government agency to reimburse payments under letters of credit issued for payment of underlying commercial contracts supported by a guarantee cover from an export credit agency.
- Advised a German bank in connection with a funded risk participation agreement with a regional development bank.*
- Advised a syndicate of European developmental finance institutions in connection with a restructuring of an existing syndicated loan facilities to a telecom company.*
- Advised a syndicate of banks in relation to a dual currency term loan facilities to the food ingredients operating group of a major Singapore listed food and agri-business supported by a SACE guarantee cover.*
- Advised Singapore bank in relation to a SGD80m dual currency credit facility (with an accordion option of up to SGD30m) to a Singapore listed information technology solutions company.*
- Advised a syndicate of banks in relation to a USD2bn term loan facility to the food, feed and fibre business of a major Singapore listed food and agri company for the purposes of refinancing of its existing loans and general corporate purposes.*
- Advised a syndicate of banks in relation to a dual currency term loan facilities to the food ingredients operating group of a major Singapore listed argri and food company comprising of a USD950m term loan and a CNH875m term loan for the purposes of refinancing of its existing loans and general corporate purposes.*
- Advised the treasury arm of a Singapore listed major real estate developer in relation to a syndicated dual currency sustainability-linked facilities comprising of a AUD407m term loan and a USD407m term loan for the purposes of refinancing of its existing loans and general corporate purposes.*
- Advised the treasury arm of a Singapore listed real estate developer in relation to a syndicated USD400m sustainability-linked term loan facility for the purposes of refinancing of its existing loans and general corporate purposes.*
- Advised a Singapore branch of a major international bank in relation to a USD175m borrowing base facility to a Singapore incorporated subsidiary of a Norwegian listed company operating product and chemical tankers for working capital purposes.*
- Advised a Singapore branch of a major international bank in relation to a USD127m limited recourse facility to a Singapore incorporated commodity trader for the purposes of prepayment financing.*
- Advised a Singapore branch of a major international bank in relation to a USD50m limited recourse facility to a Switzerland incorporated commodity trading and mining company for the purposes of prepayment financing.*
- Advised the arranger in relation to its USD200m syndicated receivables purchase programme (with an accordion for USD100m) to a Malaysian special purpose vehicle of a Singapore-based petrochemicals, green energy and natural resources conglomerate for the purposes of improving working capital cycle and cash flow management as part of its development of an aromatics plant in Malaysia.*
- Advised a syndicate of banks in relation to a USD1.5bn advance payment and supply facility to a Dubai incorporated subsidiary of an Indian multinational conglomerate engaged in oil and gas industries.*
