Justin Terada advises clients on cross-border transactions with a focus on M&A, strategic and private equity investments, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations, and other corporate and commercial transactions.

Justin is qualified in the US (California), the EU (Ireland), and England and Wales, and having spent almost 10 years in the Tokyo office of another international law firm, he effectively supports the needs of clients in their transactions in Europe, the US and Japan.

Justin began his career at a “Big Four” Japanese law firm and is fluent in Japanese.

Justin advises clients across various industries, including aviation, automotive, industrial machinery, manufacturing, energy and power, infrastructure, consumer products, life sciences, and technology.

  • Advised a Japanese industrial group on its equity investment and strategic partnership agreements with a U.S.-based leader in small modular reactor (SMR) nuclear technology.*
  • Advised a Japanese multinational electronics company on its acquisition of a U.S.-based leading end-to-end, digital fulfillment platform provider.*
  • Advised a Japanese medical equipment company on its joint venture partnership with an international healthcare provider to sell diagnostic imaging equipment in nine members of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).*
  • Advised a Japanese medical equipment company on its acquisition of a Swiss company specializing in MRI data processing and image reconstruction.*
