Louis N. van Zyl

Louis maintains a broad financial services practise in banking, corporate and real estate finance law. 

Louis regularly acts as counsel to domestic and foreign banks and syndicates, funds, mortgage investment corporations, real estate asset managers and investment advisors and borrowers at all stages of their business. Louis advises clients across a range of debt financing transactions, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, mergers, term and revolving financings, asset-based loans and cross border/global loans. He also regularly advises lenders, sponsors and borrowers in commercial mortgage lending, construction financing and project finance as well as the structuring of joint ventures and public-private partnerships for commercial property owners.

Clients appreciate his strategic counsel and advocacy, pragmatism, business acumen and ability to move deals forward. Prior to joining the firm Louis practised in the banking and real estate finance groups in the Toronto office of another National firm.
