Chrissy is a Senior Associate in the Finance, Projects and Restructuring group, with ten years' experience with a particular focus on banking and finance and restructuring transactions. She qualified in England & Wales and has spent most of her career working in international law firms in London as well as working in-house at a bank on secondment.
Chrissy provides counsel to a range of clients, including financial institutions, multinational corporations and government entities on finance projects. These projects span across the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. Chrissy has had experience in advising both sponsors and finance providers in relation to a broad range of financings including, leveraged / acquisition finance, corporate finance, real estate finance, project finance and most recently, Islamic finance. She has also worked on several restructuring transactions particularly in the second part of her career.
Since joining DLA in the UAE, Chrissy has experience advising on a broad spectrum of conventional and Islamic syndicated and bilateral cross-border financing transactions, leading restructuring and legislation matters and has worked on numerous complex and high-profile projects in the Finance sector. Chrissy also has expertise in due diligence, drafting of shareholder loans and more bespoke drafting to assist with other corporate and project transactions. Chrissy also assists with various DLA pro bono projects, echoing her passion for charitable work .
