Georgy practices in the area of corporate law, with a particular focus on international mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures and venture capital financing. His clients include emerging growth companies, PE and VC funds as well as multinational enterprises.

As a transactional lawyer with over 15 years of experience Georgy has been involved in numerous deals and complex contractual arrangements providing legal support to his clients and covering such tasks as structuring, negotiations and drafting various transaction documentation.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advising UZUM group, Uzbekistan's first-ever tech unicorn with a valuation exceeding $1 billion, in relation to their recent equity fundraising from FinSight Ventures, Xanara Investment Management and other investors;
  • Advising WeWork group, an international provider of coworking spaces, including physical and virtual shared spaces, with headquarters in New York, in relation to their exit from the Russian market and sale of the Russian subsidiary;
  • Advising Osome group, developer of an application that combines multiple corporate services for SMEs into one “superapp”, in connection with their several equity fundraising rounds;
  • Advising Vivid Money, a modern financial group with headquarters in Berlin (with offices and tech hubs across Europe), in relation to corporate restructuring and buy-out of of certain shareholders;
  • Advising Aliexpress CIS Holding Pte. Ltd. in relation to the existing joint venture arrangements;
  • Advising Ventra Group, outsourcing service provider, in relation to acquisition of several entities from Kelly Services Group.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Georgy worked at the Moscow office of another global law firm and as Head of Legal Support of M&A Projects at a diversified Russian private company with significant investments in port logistics and other sectors.
