Pongsiri is a Senior Associate in the litigation team based in DLA Piper's Bangkok office.

Pongsiri has experience across a wide range of commercial litigation transactions including, insurance, telecommunications, banking and finance and bankruptcy.

Prior to joining DLA Piper in 2009, he worked at a local law firm representing financial institutions in bankruptcy cases. He speaks Thai and also fluent in English.

EXPERIENCE

  • Representing a major insurance company and their insured in revert of claims relating to a fire at a warehouse in May 2008.
  • Advising various insurers in relation to property damage and business interruption claims arising from the Bangkok unrest in May 2010.
  • Representing TOT on an administrative case for the suspension of a 3G auction held by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
  • Advising TOT on response to a claim alleged by Ericsson (Thailand) Co., Ltd and ZTE (Thailand) Co., Ltd seeking an Administrative Court's injunction on the suspension of TOT's bid for the 3G telephone system
  • Advising Bank of Ayudhya on banking transactions including; contractual disputes, loan facilities, lender enforcement action, fraud and asset tracing, insolvency-related disputes and regulatory investigations and enforcement.
  • Representing a domestic bank in pursuing and defending claims against large and small financial institutions.
