Vincy Wong brings significant experience in advising on a wide range of employment matters, including drafting employment contracts, handbooks, policies, consultant agreements and secondment agreements; advising on employee transfers, employee data privacy, incentive schemes, and employment agency requirements; providing strategic advice on hiring, terminations and negotiated exits.

Vincy also has experience advising clients on Labour Tribunal claims and Equal Opportunities Commission complaints.

Vincy has worked with clients across a range of sectors, with particular experience with those in the private equity, asset management and the financial industry. 

She regularly supports companies with an international presence and understands the importance of taking a global approach while also complying with local laws.

  • Advising an international asset management firm on the production of employee handbooks and anti-discrimination policies in six jurisdictions.
  • Advising an investment bank on implementation of an unlimited annual leave policy.
  • Advising an US private equity firm on the implementation of parental leave policies across its APAC jurisdictions.
  • Advising a multinational corporation on conducting a mass redundancy exercise in Asia, including coordinating with overseas counsel, calculating legal entitlements and drafting townhall announcements.
  • Advising an US architectural firm on the transfer of employees from Hong Kong to mainland China and preparing relevant bilingual employment documentation.
  • Acting for an international investment fund on defending a c. HKD1.5m Labour Tribunal claim, which was settled at the first mention hearing.
  •  Acting for a high-profile employer on defending a c. HKD5.4m Labour Tribunal claim.  This case was transferred to the Court of First Instance of the High Court.
