Joonkeun Yoo has advised clients on M&A, cross-border investments, joint ventures, securities issuances and similar strategic transactions for more than 20 years.
Throughout his legal career, Joonkeun has represented multinational corporations, private equity funds, governments and other entities across continents, with particular emphasis on understanding commercial needs of the clients and the transactions.
Before joining DLA Piper's New York office in 2026, Joonkeun spent more than a decade in Hong Kong as a senior transactional lawyer affiliated with an internationally recognized law firm. Hailing originally from South Korea, Joonkeun is a native speaker of Korean. Joonkeun is admitted to practice law in New York and Hong Kong.
