Dr. Huilei Zhao has worked with both international and domestic clients to help with their patent prosecution, preparation, and counseling in different arears and technologies, including semiconductor fabrication, electric vehicles, unmanned vehicles, material synthesis, catalyst design, etc.
Huilei has more than 6 years lab research experience. Her research involves semiconductor materials, electrochemical sensors, adsorbent materials, Li-ion batteries, solar energy, water purification, photocatalysis, and CO2 utilization. She has authored and co-authored over 20 peer reviewed journal articles on ACS catalysis, Journal of Material Chemistry A, Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, Nanoscale, Applied Surface Science, Electrochimica Acta, and Environmental Science & Technology.
Huilei has completed tens of projects related to design, synthesis, characterization, and performance evaluation of various of materials. She has rich operation and analysis experience on scientific instrumentation, including atomic layer deposition (ALD), gas chromatography (GC), high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), total organic carbon (TOC), scanning electron microscope (SEM), Fourier transformed inferred spectroscopy (FTIR), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), UV-vis diffuses reflectance spectroscopy (UV-vis), X-ray diffraction (XRD).
Before launching her career in Intellectual Property, Huilei served as an engineer, focusing on development of new generation of air purifier.
