DLA Piper announced today that Paola Aldana has joined DLA Piper Martinez Beltran in Colombia as a partner and head of the Infrastructure practice. She will be based in the Bogota office.
Aldana has more than 16 years of experience in the infrastructure sector and focuses her practice on advising private and public entities in all stages of infrastructure projects and public-private partnership agreements, including the structuring of transportation and mobility projects.
“The Colombian infrastructure sector has been one of the main engines of the country’s economy over the last decade and will be of great importance in the coming years. The addition of Paola to our well-established Infrastructure practice will be incredibly beneficial to clients and will allow us to continue providing top-quality services in this area," said Camilo Martinez, managing partner of DLA Piper Martinez Beltran.
Aldana previously led the infrastructure practice at a Colombian law firm, served as general counsel of several infrastructure companies in Colombia and worked in the New York office of Dechert LLP. In 2013, Aldana participated in the professional fellow program of the US State Department. She received her law degree from Universidad Externado de Colombia.
