Leopold Zentner joined DLA in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in July 2017. He has been in the region since early 2006 focusing on M&A transactions, joint ventures, private placements, corporate structuring and restructuring as well as foreign direct investment.

In 2013, Leopold moved to Tripoli to act as the Head of Corporate for the first international law firm to set up in post-revolution Libya. During this time, he continued to focus on joint venture / M&A transactions with an emphasis on the industrial sector.

In 2015, Leopold joined the in-house team of one of the largest petrochemicals companies in the world based at their head office in Riyadh, where he focused, amongst other things, on cross border and multijurisdictional transactions, major transactions within the KSA, commercial and regulatory matters.

Leopold has frequently commented, presented and acted as a panellist on corporate laws and regulations in the MENA region across a wide range of industries. He is particularly interested in the economic diversification of oil dependent countries in the MENA region as well as the development of projects and investment laws in emerging and frontier markets. Leopold is qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales.
