Leopold Zentner focuses on M&A transactions, joint ventures, private placements, corporate structuring and restructuring as well as foreign direct investment.

He previously acted as the Head of Corporate for the first international law firm to set up in post-revolution Libya. During that time, he continued to focus on joint venture/M&A transactions with an emphasis on the industrial sector.

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Leopold was part of the in-house team at one of the largest petrochemical companies in the world, where he focused, amongst other things, on cross-border and multi-jurisdictional transactions, major transactions within the KSA, and commercial and regulatory matters.

Leopold is particularly interested in the economic diversification of oil-dependent countries in the MENA region as well as the development of projects and investment laws in emerging and frontier markets.
