About

Vincent Keaveny advises banks, financial institutions  and corporate clients in the UK and internationally on securitisation, derivatives and structured capital markets transactions. His practice encompasses the full range of securitisation transactions and asset classes.

He has advised on over 50 securitisations of Portuguese assets, including several Portuguese residential mortgage-backed transactions (Magellan 1 to 6, Navigator, Lusitano Mortgages 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7, Azor Mortgages and all 11 of the HipoTotta transactions).

He advised on the first ever securitization of Portuguese trade receivables for the Galp Energia group and the first securitization involving Portuguese real estate leases, AR Finance 1 plc.

Vincent has extensive experience in auto finance securitisations. He advised on Volkswagen's UK auto securitization, Driver UK One plc, and a number of subsequent transactions.  He has also advised on the first five Turbo Finance securitisations for FirstRand Bank's UK auto finance business.

He is known for "first for a kind" transactions, including the first ever Kazakh RMBS, Kazakh Mortgage-Backed Securities 2007-1 B.V., and the first ever Ukrainian auto ABS, Ukraine Auto Loan Finance No. 1 plc.

Other notable transactions include a securitization involving student accommodation in central London.

Vincent is listed a Tier 1 Leading Individual in securitisation by Legal 500 2015, where he is described as "vastly experienced ".

Chambers 2014  says that Vincent "has acquired an excellent reputation in matters such as residential mortgages, SME loans, and auto loans and leases".

He is listed in Who's Who Legal: Capital Markets 2015 for structured finance.

Prior Experience

Vincent joined DLA Piper in December 2015 having been a partner in the London office of an international law firm from 2005 to 2015, where he headed the Structured Capital Markets team between 2010 and 2015. Previously he was a partner at another major London-based international firm from 2000 to 2005.
