Kate specialises in the life sciences sector, with experience advising multinationals in both the pharmaceutical and medical device work streams.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advising a multinational consumer goods company during the Covid-19 pandemic and drafting bespoke cross border medical services and supply of medical goods agreements. We were shortlisted for the Life Sciences category of the British Legal Awards 2020, for our work with this client.
  • Assisting NHS England with the development of its Genomic Medicine Service, which involved advising on the procurement of genomic laboratory hubs. This project involved advising on the development and implementation of a complex new IT system, providing a wide range of advice relating to public procurement, IT and data issues and drafting documentation such as the service contract, specification and related ancillary agreements, such as material transfer agreements.
  • Part of a virtual secondment team to an international medical devices company, assisting with various matters, including drafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreements, advising on regulatory matters, and undertaking data privacy related reviews.
  • Assisting various clients, including a US based biopharmaceutical company in its position as Sponsor, with the drafting and establishment of clinical trials agreements.
  • Advising teleradiology companies on general commercial matters, such as procurement advice, drafting contractual documentation and assisting one such company with its strategic move from solely providing NHS overflow assistance, to a more global reach, providing the teleradiology services to companies assisting with clinical trials in the US and Australia.
  • Drafting and negotiating a manufacture and supply agreement for a global leader in advanced wound care, including leading on the drafting of the ancillary documentation, such as the cost coverage and quality agreements.
