Andrew Clarke has considerable experience in acquiring sites for development and subsequently developing the sites for a variety of uses including retail and office parks, warehouses and distribution centres.

Andrew also advises on the leases to be granted to the occupational tenants of these developments and on the sale of the completed developments.

Andrew is experienced in advising upon a wide variety of acquisition agreements, including conditional agreements and options. He has advised extensively upon overage/clawback arrangements acting for both landowners and developers.

Andrew has advised authorities, contractors and funders in connection with private finance initiatives (PFIs), including advising upon the construction of a new oncology wing at St James' Hospital in Leeds and two schools projects in Leeds.

Andrew acts for a number of government departments and non-departmental bodies including a number of the Research Councils, the Skills Funding Agency and the Department for Business Innovation and Skills. Additionally, he advises charities on real estate matters relating to acquisitions and disposals.
