Karen Howard focuses her practice on planning development with extensive experience in resolving complex planning issues. She advises on all aspects of town and country planning and handles the promotion of large mixed use schemes and CPO matters. 

She acts for private developers and public sector clients on major development schemes across the UK. She has a reputation for dealing with strategic planning for regeneration schemes and advises in residential, commercial (offices and industrial) retail, hotel and leisure sectors. She has excellent judicial review and high court claims experience and has defended proceedings in the Magistrates court on listed building, breach of licensing  and planning enforcement matters.
