Cornelius Medvei is a consultant in the Real Estate Group of DLA Piper and also acts as general counsel to Fenwick Limited, an independent family owned chain of department stores in the UK. He is experienced in all aspects of commercial real estate and has particular experience in the retail and transport sectors, advising owners, managers and operators on all aspects of their business.

Cornelius has a particular interest in client relationship management, notably in building strong and enduring client relationships which put identifying and supporting the needs and interests of the client at the forefront of the relationship. Building on his extensive experience of leading and managing teams of lawyers and other professionals across the UK and Europe, he has particular experience of change management, building and motivating teams. In addition to acting as a mentor in his own firm, Cornelius has mentored rising stars in the police, the rail industry, the FCA and in management consulting. He is currently a governor of the SouthBank Centre and the chair of trustees at Cockpit Arts.
