EXPERIENCE

  • Acted for an international airline in connection with its acquisition of Boeing 747, Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 aircraft.
  • Acted for an aircraft leasing company on its acquisition of a B777-300 aircraft leased to a large Middle-Eastern airline.
  • Advised an asset leasing company on the shipbuilding and bareboat chartering of two ice class expedition vessels for use in the Arctic Circle.
  • Advised a UK and US airline on the establishment of its private jet travel business, credit facility and acquisition of Embraer aircraft for its new fleet.
  • Acted for a listed Italian energy company on its acquisition of shares in a Norwegian owner of a newbuild LNG bunker vessel operating in the North Sea.
  • Acted for a European UHNWI on the disposal of one Citation Latitude aircraft and the acquisition and financing of one new Gulfstream 500 aircraft financed by a Swiss bank including advising on the Isle of Man operating structure for the G500 and its importation into the EU via Amsterdam.
  • Advised a UHNWI tech entrepreneur in relation to the acquisition of a San Marino registered Bombardier Global 6000 aircraft from a Swiss bank.
  • Advised a business jet trading business on the implications of the US Department of Justice freezing the escrow account of a Oklahoma escrow agent in the context of a transaction for the sale of a Gulfstream G450 aircraft.
  • Acted for a debt finance provider in relation to the funding of a Irish helicopter lessor with respect to two new Leonardo AW109 helicopters modified for air ambulance operations in the United Kingdom and with respect to one Leonardo AW189 helicopter for operations in Italy.
  • Acted for a UK bank on the financing of three Leonardo AW169 helicopters modified for air ambulance operations in the United Kingdom.
  • Regularly advises on the acquisition new aircraft from leading manufacturers of business jets, turbo props and VIP helicopters including Gulfstream, Bombardier, Dassault, Textron, Embraer, Pilatus, Airbus and Leonardo. In 2021, advised on three new delivery Praetor 600 aircraft for three separate buyers in the UK.
  • Advised an asset financier on the financing of a 56m sailing yacht flagged in the United Kingdom, a 62m motor yacht flagged in the United Kingdom, a 50m motor yacht flagged in the Isle of Man and a 24m motor yacht flagged in the Cayman Islands.
