John Pryor advises clients on corporate law matters and transactions. He has a particular focus on private equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions for both domestic and international clients. John acts for both private equity investors and management teams on private equity transactions as well as for vendors and purchasers on mergers and acquisitions.

  • Inflexion on their acquisition of and investment into the Times Higher Education business (THE) which was carved out from the Times Educational Supplement business recently acquired by Providence
  • Unilever on their acquisition of graze, the UK's leading healthy snack brand
  • Management on the €1.75bn sale of the TMF Group, a global provider of compliance and administrative services, to CVC Capital Partners
  • The Carlyle Group on its acquisition of a majority stake in Livingstone Technologies from a group of its founding investors. Livingstone is the largest independent provider of Software Asset Management Managed Services in the UK
  • 10x Banking on its Series B fundraising round. 10x Banking is a fintech business set up by Antony Jenkins (former CEO of Barclays Bank) to develop the next-generation cloud-native banking platform
  • Management on the sale of Tangerine Confectionery to Valeo Foods, one of Europe's fastest-growing international food groups. Tangerine Confectionery owns the iconic Barratt's brand, including Refreshers and Dib Dab sweets
  • Shareholders of Hindawi Limited on the $300m sale of Hindawi Limited, a leading publisher of Open Access journals, to John Wiley & Sons, Inc
