Ben Roden has 10 years’ experience in acting for both borrowers and lenders in a broad range of finance transactions. The main focus of Ben’s practice is corporate lending to national and international entities, alongside leveraged and acquisition finance transactions, but also includes real estate finance and a variety of invoice finance and other asset-based lending arrangements.

He acts for lenders across the range of finance offerings including corporate term and working capital facilities, management buy-outs and buy-ins, acquisitions, refinancings, and public-to-private takeovers.

Ben also regularly advises borrowers of various sizes (from plc’s to privately owned companies and SMEs) across the same spectrum of transactions.

In addition, Ben provides advice in relation to restructurings and distressed scenarios, which stems from the first five years of his career in a cross-practice finance and insolvency team*. He has also assisted on a number of Project Finance deals throughout his time with DLA Piper.

The nature of Ben’s practice lends itself (no pun intended) to regular cross-jurisdictional work and, consequently, the majority of his transactions involve the Americas, Continental Europe, Asia, and/or Australasia, as well as the UK.
