Andra Trantea is a highly knowledgeable employment lawyer, with 15 years of experience in advising domestic and international employers on any transactional and non-transactional employment and cross-practice matters, as well as a core member of the DLA Piper team ever since set-up in Romania, back in 2008.Building on her original background as a Finance & Projects/ transactional lawyer, with her performance being acknowledged by both Chambers Europe and Legal 500 directories, and diversely involved in advising clients in sectors such as Technology and FinTech, Industrials, Life Sciences and Media, Sport & Entertainment, Andra is committed to continuing to drive our Romanian Employment practice sensationally forward.

Andra Trantea's employment expertise consists of advising on complex day-to-day employment matters (including flexible work arrangements, on-call, unlimited holiday schemes), disciplinary and investigation cases, collective agreements and negotiations with staff representative bodies, restructuring of workforce via both individual and collective reorganization lay-offs, employment disputes disputes, but also complex transactional employment matters, such as complex outsourcing and rebadging programs, mergers and acquisitions impact on employment, cutting-edge transfers of undertakings – in the recently developed context of acqui-hire deals.Andra has also developed niche specialized skills and a strong focus on intellectual property and data privacy in employment context, employee talent protection and retention in business transformation and flexible working context and, more recently, whistleblower protection arrangements/ policies.

  • Advising the leading global provider of network test, monitoring and assurance solutions, on virtually all Romanian employment legal aspects, successfully hand-holding its Romanian journey ever since set-up and fully relying on our team’s matured expertise in the Technology sector, combined with our vast experience and breadth of practice areas (in particular, Tax and Intellectual Property).
