Jeff Vernon has experience in advising on all legal issues relating to the provision of credit to consumers, principally under the Consumer Credit Act 1974. He acts for a wide range of lenders, including high street banks, finance houses, motor finance providers, 'point of sale' lenders and store card providers.

Jeff works closely with other colleagues who advise on related issues, for example litigious matters, as part of the wider financial services group.

Jeff also has considerable experience in advising on other legislation which affects dealing with consumers, particularly on the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations and the Distance Selling Regulations.

Prior to becoming a solicitor, Jeff worked in the finance industry for many years, so is able to provide practical, as well as legal advice. His clients frequently comment on his ability to advise on complex, technical issues in a clear manner which is easy to apply.
