Under its latest guidance on the effectiveness of compliance programs, DOJ will now review to determine whether "compliance and control personnel have sufficient direct or indirect access to relevant sources of data to allow for timely and effective monitoring and/or testing of policies, controls and transactions."
In this first installment of DLA Piper's Modern Compliance Officer webinar series, DLA Piper partners Daniel Garen and Ed Hanover, both former chief compliance officers for global organizations, discussed the implications of DOJ's latest guidance – and exploring ways to harness your data to develop a predictive indicator of weaknesses in your compliance program. Dan and Ed also shared a statistical model for evaluating the health of your hotline, which you may implement immediately as an element of your compliance dashboard.
This webinar is the first in a series in which we demonstrate DLA Piper's suite of tools for performance optimization and quantitative analytics and discuss their practical application in a modern compliance program.
