Valuing Diversity

At DLA Piper and within the IPT practice here, we value diversity. We are committed to creating a culture that is inclusive of all people, where everyone has an opportunity to succeed, and where pathways to success are transparent. Our commitment to diversity is key to our success, and it defines who we are.

This past quarter was an exciting one for us and our commitment to diversity. In October, we sponsored the Seventh Annual ChIPs Global Summit, helping to advance and connect women in technology, law and policy. In November, we hosted our 12th Annual Women in IP Law Seminar, featuring women leaders discussing the latest in patent law and big data issues. For 12 years, this seminar has allowed us to showcase women as leaders in the IP field, seeking to advance their careers and provide networking, mentoring, and career opportunities.

We hope that, throughout the pages of IPT News, our mission is clear: to increase the diversity of people, perspectives and experiences represented at all levels of DLA Piper and to nurture our increasingly inclusive culture where that diversity is valued, embraced and leveraged for the benefit of our people and our clients.

As we look ahead to 2019, we know we will continue to seek ways to achieve this mission.
