Ilana Eisenstein, a Philadelphia-based partner and co-chair of DLA Piper's Appellate Advocacy practice, has been named to the Legal Intelligencer's 2019 list of Unsung Heroes. The list recognizes "attorneys and legal professionals who have gone unnoticed for, or were instrumental behind the scenes in, particularly important work." The editors pointed to her US Supreme Court work, which they said, "has been impressive and addresses emerging legal issues businesses grapple with regularly."
Ilana focuses on appellate, complex commercial and white-collar litigation. She has argued five cases in the US Supreme Court, including cases involving novel questions of statutory and constitutional law and procedure, and has been the lead author of dozens of briefs at the merits and certiorari stage in the Supreme Court and in the federal courts of appeals. In her career, she has worked on more than 100 federal cases.
