Regulation 

Lawyers (advocaten

All Dutch lawyers at DLA Piper Nederland N.V. are admitted within the Netherlands to practice as lawyers (advocaten) and are members of the Dutch Bar Association (Nederlandse Orde van Advocaten, Neuhuyskade 94, 2596 XM Den Haag, tel. 070-3353535, [email protected]). Notaries (notarissen

Notaries (notarissen) at DLA Piper Nederland N.V. are members of the Royal Dutch Notarial Society (Koninklijke Notariële Beroepsorganisatie). The regulatory provisions applicable to notaries can be found here

Tax advisers (belastingadviseurs

Tax advisers (belastingadviseurs) are members of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (De Nederlandse Orde van Belastingadviseurs). The regulatory provisions applicable to tax advisers can be found here

The word "partner" is used to refer to a director of DLA Piper Nederland N.V., or an employee or consultant with equivalent standing and qualifications, and to a partner, member, director, employee or consultant in another DLA Piper practising entity who has equivalent standing. 

Professional liability insurance 

Our professional indemnity insurer is Travelers Insurance Company Limited whose address is Exchequer Court, 33 St Mary Axe, London EC3A 8AG. This insurance covers our practices in the United Kingdom, Europe, Middle East, Australia, Africa and Asia and extends to acts and omissions wherever they occur in the world. 

In certain jurisdictions professional indemnity insurance is required to be placed locally in accordance with statute or regulation. Where there are such requirements we have policies in place to meet these obligations, details of which can be supplied on request

Our services 

We are committed to providing the highest quality services to all of our clients. Please tell us if something goes wrong by contacting the matter partner responsible for the work. If we are unable to resolve a problem through internal channels, the following procedures are available. 

If the problem relates to lawyers our client may refer the matter to the Dean (Deken) of the Amsterdam Bar Association (P.O. box 57590, 1040 BL Amsterdam). If the problem relates to notaries our client may refer the matter to the Supervisory Authority (Kamer van Toezicht) of the Royal Dutch Notarial Society (P.O. box 16020, 2500 BA Den Haag). If the problem relates to tax advisers our client may refer the matter to the Disciplinary Council (Raad van Tucht) of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (P.O. box 2977, 1000 CZ Amsterdam).

Complaints

To file a complaint regarding our services provided or the invoice, please read our Complaints Handling Procedure and fill in the Complaints Form. Then print and send the dated and signed Complaints Form to the Complaints Officer. We will handle your complaint in accordance with our Complaints Handling Procedure.

Om een klacht in te dienen aangaande onze dienstverlening of facturatie, kunt u de Kantoorklachtenregeling raadplegen en het Klachtenformulier gebruiken. Print en verstuur een compleet ingevuld en ondertekend Klachtenformulier naar de Klachtenfunctionaris. Wij behandelen uw klacht conform onze Kantoorklachtenregeling.
